Inside this plague
It comforts me
Without it again
I'll never be, these
Dreams in my mind I'll
Call them home
Nevermore will I
Be alone
My heart was never so cold
As it is now
When did this become (to me)
I feel as though I have died
So long ago
But when did this become
Remembering the past days of old
Joyful and in love
But when did this become (to me)
Instead I find a world so full of pain
Alone I stand
Why god has this become (to me)
Alone
With you
My god
In slumber I obey
The call of the sirens
The blackening Day
Twisted Nightmares
Wherein I lay
Deprived of humanity
Torturous Screams
Besides my god I die
In these Restless Dreams
Inside this plague
It comforts me
Without it again
I'll never be, these
Dreams in my mind I'll
Call them home
Nevermore will I
Be alone
Awakened by sirens
On the blackest of days
Distorted Reality
Wherein I stay
No longer I slumber
But forever I scream
I am the god within
My restless dreams
Come
To me
My child
Your kingdom awaits you
Inside your plague
It comfortsme
To watch you sleep
Eternally
The dreams in your mind
We call them home
Nevermore will I
Be alone

A truly stellar death/doom album with heavy doses of black metal. Tracks like Isolation, Child of Light, and Broken Hymns deliver the sorrowful and icy tone of this album, elevated by the stirring cello compositions of Raphael Weinroth-Browne. The album delivers a deeply satisfying crescendo in Becoming Intangible before stirring the soul once again with Epilogue. Matt Richardson

Beautiful isn't an adjective normally usable for black metal, but here we are. I swear I didn't cry at The Beauty of the Withering Flower...... Seriously though, this is amazingly atmospheric, awesome, and sad throughout this journey of an album. jojobinx

Jordan Vauvert
